At First Steps Academy of Dance we offer Tap Dance classes where we the children will be developing their dexterity and musicality.
Using the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) as a basis for skill progression, each tapper works through the graded levels, developing dexterity and musicality. Dancers will cultivate their rhythmic understanding and learn to manipulate various steps to create new sequences, while challenging themselves with increasingly more complex footwork.
We learn to tap in a variety of styles and find our own inner-choreographer during improvisations.
